A couple of images from SISTAR’s Dasom have surfaced, causing some genuine interest from netizens. As seen from the image above, Dasom is proudly showing her fresh-face to the camera and rightfully so. Even from before her debut, fans could see from her school-girl past that she was always eye-catching.

Currently, she’s known for her bright, blond hair for SISTAR’s new promotional single, Shady Girl. Take a look at her past and present photos below:

Though fans are going crazy for SISTAR’s new song and especially Dasom’s new look, it hasn’t been an easily paved road for the young idol singer. As recently as June of this year, a pretty alarming scandal broke out about Dasom during SISTAR’s promotions for their debut single, Push Push.

Many fans know Dasom to be the maknae (youngest) member of SISTAR. And as goes the story with many idol maknaes, fans were expected to be greeted by Dasom’s innocent and youthful charm. You can imagine their surprise when news broke out that this young one spent her childhood days drinking, smoking, stealing money and bullying.

Things seemed to take an even darker turn when it was rumored that SISTAR’s second youngest member, Soyu shared a similar past with drinking and bullying at a young age:

Whether or not these rumors and/or pictures are true depictions of Dasom (and Soyu), it’s really good to see SISTAR shed away from what could have possibly been a career-damaging scandal and instead be recognized for their amazing singing and performing talents. Hopefully from now on, the girls of SISTAR will do their best at being their best. Dasom, SISTAR, Fighting!
